The little kid in me is so happy to see these calendars out. I hope some month they have the Caterpillar 797B mega dump truck. Empty it weighs 281 tons. It can carry 418 tons. OH also it costs $ 5 million dollars and needs 14 semis to haul it to where it needs to be assembled on site. Lets see somebody put one of the monsters on their Discover Card!!!!

Wider than expected, but great high-quality pictures

This was much bigger than I thought it was going to be. It is much wider than a regular wall calendar, but that wasn't much of a problem since we hung it in our son's room to help him learn the days of the week. The pictures are colorful and the printing is of high quality. This was a gift for our son and he loves the pictures. We're all very pleased. A great buy for a construction vehicle enthusiast.

About the Author
Rashid A. Buttar, DO, FAAPM, FACAM, FAAIM, is a graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Medicine and Surgery. He trained in General Surgery and Emergency Medicine and served as Brigade Surgeon and Director of Emergency Medicine while serving in the U.S. Army. Dr. Buttar is board certified in Clinical Metal Toxicology, Preventive Medicine, is board eligible in Emergency Medicine and has achieved fellowship status in three separate medical societies. He is the medical director for Advanced Concepts in Medicine, the Center for Advanced Medicine in Charlotte, NC, a clinic specializing in treating patients with cancer and heart disease refractory to conventional medical treatments. He also serves as Director of Clinical Research and Development for VSAB Medical Labs where he is extensively involved in polypeptide research and development of innovative drug delivery mechanisms. Dr. Buttar has lectured worldwide to physicians and has been featured in national and international news media including TV, radio and newspaper. He has testified in front of the North Carolina State Congress as well as the US Congressional SubCommittee on Human Rights and Wellness at the federal level and continues to serve as faculty to teach conventional medical courses such as Advanced Trauma Life Support, PALS and ACLS. Dr. Buttar currently serves as Visiting Scientist at North Carolina State University and is ranked as one of The Top 50 Doctors in the US since 2003 by Phillips Publishing, Healthy Directions, and the world famous cardiologist, Dr. Stephen Sinatra.

This book is my FAVORITE health book ever

This book is my FAVORITE health book ever!!!! I'm a natural health practitioner, and I've never found a health book that says so much of what I tell my clients.... and he has done the research to back it up. I recommend it to all my clients. His passion for helping both his clients and his previously autistic son is evident throughout. He doesn't just go with what mainstream medicine offers, but focuses on what actually brings health to people, and for that I'd have to also call him quite courageous.

Dr Buttar offers so much practical helpful advice for maintaining one's health. Each of his 9 steps is well supported with research and references. The stories he includes about his clients to illustrate each of his steps are very well written, both interesting and engaging, and VERY inspiring..... makes me want to exercise and drink water among other things.

I love that he's set up a book owners reference website where I can go find additional and updated information. I had a little trouble getting set up with it initially, but perseverance finally worked, so don't give up. And through owning this book I have access to a free audio series of Medical Secrets.

This was an easy read and extremely informative. I appreciated the true stories Dr. Buttar shared, as well as the well outlined steps for maximum health. However, one of the steps was to take a specific product. Although he was very transparent about his association with the makers of the product, I still don't appreciate being sold a product in this way. I prefer not to spend my money on someone else's advertising. I think this lacks integrity. As if that wasn't annoying enough, I found that his website - specifically for purchasers of this book - was very un-user-friendly, and the information was outdated. Furthermore, the product he was pushing is no longer even available.

About the Author
Jane Cobb, BA, MLS, has a BA in English Literature from the University of Victoria (1979), and a Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of British Columbia (1981). She has worked as a Children’s Librarian serving families and children in public libraries in BC for twenty-seven years (1982 – 2009). Most recently Jane was the Coordinator of Parent-Child Mother Goose Programs for the Vancouver Public Library in Canada where she created fifteen multi-lingual outreach programs for families living in Vancouver (2001 – 2009). She has also been a sessional instructor of Children’s Services at UBC and Langara College(1994 – 2007); and was one of four provincial trainers for the Toronto-based Parent-Child Mother Goose Program (2002 – 2009). She is the author of two classic resources for Children’s Librarians and Early Childhood Educators: I’m a Little Teapot: Presenting Preschool Storytime (1996) beloved by K teachers, librarians and early childhood educators alike, and What’ll I Do with the Baby-o: Nursery Rhymes, Songs, and Stories for Babies (2007) which won a Mom’s Choice Gold Award in 2009. Jane is now a writer, presenter, and early language and literacy consultant. Her Power of Rhyme and Storytelling workshops have inspired thousands of librarians and educators to enjoy using her oral approach to early language and literacy development. Great for parents

I am a parent of a 4 month old baby and I love this book! There are some things in it that don't really apply to parents, like sample programs for educators/librarians but most of it is great for parents too. There are pages upon pages of rhymes and songs that my baby loves, a CD for learning some of the lesser-known songs, stories to tell to babies, baby book recommendations, and interesting information about baby brain development and what parents and caregivers can do to help foster their babies development. A fun book for anyone with a baby up to age 2.

About the Author

Dr. Laxmidhar Behera is currently Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. He has recently joined ISRC, UUM as a reader on a sabatical from IIT Kanpur. A Ph D from IIT Delhi, he has worked as Assistant Professor in BITS Pilani during 1995-1999 and pursued his post-doctoral studies in German National Research Center for Information Technology, GMD, Sank Augustin, Germany. He has also worked as visiting researcher/professor in FHG, Germany, ETH, Zurich, Switzerland. Dr Behera works in the area of intelligent robotics and control in general. His specific areas of research are visual motor coordination, advanced neural learning algorithms, advanced control architecture, visual tracking and obstacle avoidance of mobile robots, visual navigation and data modeling using soft-computing approaches and quantum neural networks. He has published more than 90 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.

Dr. Indrani Kar is currently working as senior project engineer at IIT Kanpur. She obtained B.Tech. degree from Haldia Institute of Technology and M.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur. A Ph D from IIT Kanpur, she has published a number of research papers in the area of intelligent control.

About the Author

James M. Lutz is Professor of Political Science at Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne. He has long been interested in various types of political violence.

Brenda J. Lutz holds a PhD in Politics from the Department of Politics, University of Dundee, Scotland. Her research has focused on terrorism and political violence and on factory farming and the animal rights movement.

For me this book was important because it provided an additional point of reference to my research on terrorist organizational behavior and leadership Terrorist Organizational Behavior(ISBN-13: 978-0615687391). The case studies were enlightening and helped to highlight the importance of this type of work. I recommend this book to those interested in the behaviors of individuals and groups involved in terrorism.
