About the Author
Daniel Giaccio, MD, FACP, is the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. His nearly 30 years of teaching residents and medical students�have given him a great depth of�understanding of clinical medicine. Carla McWilliams, MD, is chief fellow in Infectious Diseases at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Manhasset, NY. She formerly was Associate Director of Medical Curriculum for Kaplan Medical in New York City and has extensive experience in developing USMLE board review materials.

Pocket-sized gem!

I got this to use as an adjunct to all my other review books to study for my FNP licensing exam. Compact and succinct, this book is a little gem. Literally pocket-sized, this book is a great size to fit in a lab coat and peruse during your 'free' time. I love the many algorithms and pearls of wisdom. I would heartily suggest this book to my fellow DNP students.

decent review for Step 3

This book has a niche, in that it really is dual-use: boards and wards. It also is general enough to cover most subjects, but specific enough for you to get most of the questions right on Step 3. There are some minor errors, but nothing too bad. But if you're studying for step 2 or trying to do really well on step 3, you should supplement with other material (in addition to Uworld).

i bought this book to help me with my 3rd and 4th yr clerkship especially when u need a book handy. Its has the essentials and covers the "basic to knows" on each topic. great review book and whats more great size.
